Seobility Review & Test of the Affordable SEO Tool After 9 Years
If you run a website and want to sell your products or services online, it is essential that your site can be found on the internet, especially in search engines for the keywords that are relevant to your business.
To achieve this, your website needs to be well optimized both on-page and off-page, so that it meets the requirements of search engines as effectively as possible.
At the same time, users – and especially users – must consider your website to be useful and valuable. To quickly analyze your website and identify potential areas for improvement, it is important to use a reliable SEO tool.
Seobility is one such SEO tool that helps you identify errors on your website and shows you what actions you can take to fix them. By doing so, you can improve your rankings and potentially generate more revenue. The company Seobility GmbH is based in Nuremberg, Germany.
In this Seobility review and test report, I will show you how this affordable SEO tool works and what you can expect from it. You can also try it yourself and gain your own Seobility experience here.
Seobility Dashboard: Visibility, Rankings, and More at a Glance
You can view the performance of your website directly in the Seobility dashboard. There you will find all the important aspects of your website clearly displayed together with the most relevant data.
Technical and content-related optimizations that still need to be implemented are also shown directly in the dashboard. This helps you optimize your website in a targeted way without wasting a lot of time.
You can see how your website performs in the search engines for which you have activated crawling. Rankings, backlinks, errors, site structure, content analysis, and much more are displayed in the Seobility tool at a glance.
Features of Seobility: A Quick Overview
There are many SEO tools available on the market, and Seobility is one of them, offering a wide range of useful features. It is suitable for both beginners and advanced users who want to improve their websites and make their content more relevant for both search engines and users.
Finding new keywords, performing backlink analysis, using the WDF*IDF tool, and running SEO content analyses are all easily possible. In addition, the SEO software offers several advanced features, especially in the area of content optimization.
Features such as analyzing and optimizing page loading times, keyword research, rank tracking, competitor analysis, meta tag checks, redirect checks, backlink checks, backlink analysis, and many other on-page optimization tools are included.
You will also receive recommendations on how to fix errors and improve your website’s visibility in search engines.
Even with the free version of Seobility, you can analyze your website. This allows users to review their website right from the start and achieve their first optimization results.
Seobility analyzes your rankings in search engines such as Google.
The free version of Seobility offers enough flexibility, especially for smaller websites or for anyone who simply wants to test the tool.
I have been using this software for many years and have consistently had positive experiences with Seobility.
Overall, Seobility is a really good SEO tool that I like to keep in my daily toolkit. And considering the price, this all-in-one SEO tool is hard to beat.

Seobility: An SEO Tool for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses
This SEO tool is particularly useful for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Optimizing your website with Seobility is straightforward and easy to manage.
Seobility also allows you to create reports for clients, which is especially helpful if you are running an agency. At the same time, you can use it for your own projects to check how your website is performing and how your optimization efforts are improving your rankings.
You can also monitor important keywords with Seobility and track backlinks to your website.
Many other SEO tools quickly cost several hundred euros per month, or even more. Seobility, however, focuses on the SMB market, which makes it significantly more affordable compared to many other SEO tools.
For projects with up to 1,000 subpages, Seobility is even completely free. That’s a strong offer. You can simply create a free account and get started right away to run your own Seobility test and see whether the tool meets your needs.
The Seobility Check: Perform a Quick SEO Analysis
When you start using this software, the first step is to create a new project. This can be done in just a few moments. Simply enter your start URL and choose a project name.
You can also decide whether subdomains should be included in the crawl or not, how frequently the crawling process should be repeated, and whether you would like to receive email notifications when changes or issues are detected.
Next, if you choose to do so, you can verify your project. Verification can be completed in three different ways.
Upload a file
Insert a meta tag into the HTML
Create a DNS entry
You can also try it yourself and gain your own Seobility experience here.
Choose one of these options if you want to. The advantage of verifying your project is that the crawler can access your website with multiple instances, allowing it to crawl your site faster.
For competitor websites, you will usually have to accept a slower crawling process, and the same applies to your own subpages if you decide not to verify the project.
Next are the crawler settings. Here you can configure several options so that the crawler scans your website according to your preferences.
For example, you can choose which user agent should be sent, define the maximum number of crawlable subpages, and set the waiting time after each request. For verified projects, you can configure up to three crawler instances, otherwise only one crawler will be used.
You can also specify whether nofollow links should be ignored and adjust additional settings related to the robots.txt file.
If your website uses HTTP authentication, you can enter the username and password here so that the protected subpages can be crawled.
Once you have completed these settings, you can create the project and start the crawling process. However, as mentioned earlier, project verification and crawler settings are optional and not required.
You can simply define your start URL, project name, and basic settings, then create the project and start the crawl.
After the crawling process is finished, you will be able to review the different results. Seobility divides the on-page analysis into three main categories:
Technical & meta analysis
Content analysis
Structure analysis
Ranking analysis and keyword monitoring are also included.
The SEO software works with a scoring system. The higher the score, the more important the issue that should be reviewed.
You won’t recognize the exact score by color alone; you will see the details when you hover over the item. This makes checking your own website very easy. After the crawl, Seobility displays all the key metrics clearly in the dashboard.
In addition, Seobility provides you with a comprehensive report showing what changes should be made and where improvements are needed.
Here you can try it yourself and gain your own Seobility experience.
On-Page Analysis: What Is a Good On-Page SEO Score?
With this SEO tool, it is quite simple: the higher the score, the better. The maximum possible score in the on-page areas is 100 points.
The score is divided into three main categories:
Technical & Meta
Structure
Content
However, the color indicator already begins to change from yellow to green at around 80%. At this level, the score can already be considered good. The features of the software help you optimize your website accordingly.
Numerous functions within these three areas analyze your website, provide ratings, and offer suggestions on what you could improve. Even beginners can easily understand the recommendations.
Looking at the number of factors that need to be checked and analyzed, it quickly becomes clear that using an SEO tool is almost essential. You need a tool that analyzes exactly these aspects and much more.
Seobility Keyword Research: Find Relevant Keywords
Good keyword research is the foundation of strong rankings. Only when you identify the right search terms can you optimize your content for them and achieve better positions in search results.
For a long time, Seobility unfortunately did not offer any keyword research functionality. Fortunately, this has changed. You can now perform keyword research directly with Seobility. Depending on your plan, you have a certain number of keyword searches available per day.
Simply enter your desired search term and select the search engine or country for which you want to perform the research.
As a result, you will receive a list of many related keywords that are connected to your main keyword. In addition, you will see the search volume, competition level, and CPC for each term.
You can select the keywords that are relevant to you and add them directly to your monitoring. If you want, you can also display the Top 10 search results for each keyword.
This is a feature I had been missing for a long time, and it is great to finally see it included. It provides very useful insights and makes the SEO tool even more powerful.
Recently, the search intent is also displayed. This is definitely a very useful feature that has been added to the SEO tool.
With this information, you can better classify the keyword, place it correctly within your content, and add it directly to your monitoring if needed.
Here you can try the new keyword research tool and the complete SEO software yourself, for free.
Seobility Check – Technical & Meta Analysis
Once the domain crawl is completed, you will first be taken to an overview page, the general dashboard.
In this overview, you can see the summarized status of your website and the analysis results. When you move to the Seobility check under “Technical & Meta”, things become even more interesting.
Here you will find a large amount of information about the analyzed website. Among other things, you can see how many URLs were discovered and crawled, the breakdown between relevant and non-relevant pages, pages with technical issues, non-analyzable data types, as well as external pages that were detected.
Non-relevant results include pages that have redirects or are marked with noindex. When you click on the “non-relevant” pages, they will be displayed.
Unfortunately, there is no built-in filtering option here, but you can export the results into a CSV file and apply the appropriate filters there.
This way, you can clearly see which URLs are classified as “non-relevant.” Some of them may have a noindex tag, which can be correct, for example, if the analyzed subpages are tag keyword pages that are not meant to be indexed (as in my case).
Other pages may be classified as non-relevant because they contain redirects.
A closer analysis shows that some of these URLs simply redirect without a trailing slash. Without this classification, the same page could be crawled and listed twice, which would indeed not be relevant.
Technical issues refer to pages where the website returns an error, such as a 404 status code.
Here you can try the tool yourself and gain your own Seobility experience here, for free.
If you click on a specific issue, for example problems with H1 headings, you will see the affected URLs listed together with the detected problems. For more details, you can either click directly on the URL or on “Details.”
When you click on the URL, you will be taken to the detailed analysis under the “Meta Information” tab. If you click on “Details,” you will be directed to the detailed content analysis.
Once you are on the detail page, you can switch between the different tabs to access additional information about the various aspects that were analyzed.
Clear Structure Analysis
In the Seobility check for structure analysis, the focus is on how well the internal linking and overall structure of your website perform.
Here you can see how many pages have too many or too few internal links, where redirects occur, where redirect problems exist (such as redirect loops), and where there are issues with external links.
You can also see how many link targets use the same anchor text and where internal anchor texts could be improved. At the bottom, you will also find subpages that have been identified as particularly important.
These are pages that have many internal links, show good quality, and are located closer to the homepage. The closer a page is to the homepage, the more important it is considered. This makes it easier to optimize your website for both Google and your users.
If you want more information about a specific analysis point, simply click on the number or the text next to it.
On the right side of the chart, you can also see the click depth. Up to four clicks is generally considered optimal for Google. Beyond that, crawling becomes less efficient and may not be followed further.
With the structure analysis, you can better understand how your internal linking is organized and identify where adjustments should be made to improve it, and ultimately your rankings.
Internal linking helps distribute link juice throughout your website. For example, you can easily identify pages that have too many internal links.
Of course, if you use categories, recent comments, or recent posts in your navigation – such as in a sidebar – the number of internal links will naturally be higher.
Here you can try the tool yourself and gain your own Seobility experience here, for free.
Content Analysis: Optimizing Your Content with the Seobility SEO Tool
Seobility analyzes your website content and helps you improve it. You can see which URLs are competing with each other because they have been optimized for the same keywords. Pages with duplicate content or identical text blocks are also identified.
You should address thin content by adding more valuable information, especially on important subpages that currently contain little content. This allows you to improve and further optimize your website.
If keywords from the page title or the H1 heading are missing in the text itself, you should integrate them into the content. This helps search engines better understand what the page is about and improves your chances of ranking for the targeted keyword.
Another useful feature of this SEO software is its ability to detect spelling mistakes and typos within your content.
This allows you to quickly navigate to the affected URLs and correct the errors. Fixing these issues not only saves time but also slightly improves the overall quality of your website, which ultimately contributes to better optimization.
The tool also helps you identify duplicate content or thin content across your website. It highlights the specific text passages that appear multiple times and shows you the pages where these duplicate blocks occur.
This makes it easier to adjust your content and improve the overall quality of your website for both search engines and users.
Seobility analyzes which text blocks or paragraphs appear again on other pages or are highly similar. These similarities are then reported so you can take action.
By doing so, you can ensure that your pages contain unique content, which can lead to better rankings in search engines.
It also helps ensure that the correct pages rank for the appropriate keywords, which can reduce the bounce rate.
The detection of duplicate content and repeated text blocks is very comprehensive and extremely helpful.

Seobility Experience with WDF*IDF: Content Analysis with the SEO Tool
Seobility also offers a WDF*IDF analysis. This SEO tool is even available for free from the provider. If you create a free account, you can perform up to 50 analyses.
This allows you to run additional analyses on your text and combine them with the content analysis features.
It is a useful and quick checker that provides additional insights into your content optimization, helping you further improve your texts.
Even among free SEO tools, Seobility performs very well compared to many of its competitors.
Seobility Ranking Check: Keyword Monitoring & Ranking Analysis
The Seobility Ranking Check is a keyword monitoring tool. Within this ranking or monitoring feature, you can add various keywords, depending on your plan, a different number of keywords can be tracked. These keywords are then monitored daily.
You can review changes in rankings either daily or weekly. A historical view is also available, provided that enough historical data has been collected. In the screenshot below, this history is not yet available.
The rankings are tracked for both desktop and mobile devices.
Within the keyword monitoring feature, you can also add competitors or choose from suggested competitors. This allows you to compare your performance with other websites.
However, you should only add competitors that are truly relevant to your niche.
In addition, Seobility can suggest further related keywords based on the search terms you have already added.
This makes it possible to discover additional interesting search terms that you can include not only in your monitoring but also in your page optimization.
You can also view not only your competitors but also potential ranking URLs, as well as the Top 100 search results, including ranking changes (such as which pages have entered the Top 100, which have dropped out, and which have gained or lost positions).
If multiple URLs from your website rank for the same keyword, this will also be displayed. When viewing the potential URLs, you can click on “Live Optimization”, which takes you to another page, the URL analysis.

URL Detail Analysis with the Seobility Tool
If you want to take a closer look at a specific URL and perform a complete SEO check, this can easily be done with Seobility.
To analyze a URL in detail, simply click on any URL you see within the different menus of the tool. This will take you directly to the URL detail analysis, which contains several tabs and provides a wide range of useful information.
For example, you can review the content analysis of that URL to identify areas that need improvement, such as duplicate text blocks or missing ALT attributes for images.
Additional analyses, such as insights into internal linking, can also help you further improve the structure and linking of your website.
If you want to examine a potential URL to check how well it is optimized for a specific keyword, you can easily do that as well. Seobility will display all relevant on-page factors for that page.
Speaking of on-page analysis and on-page optimization, these features are also available as a separate tab. This allows you to review individual URLs and optimize them step by step.
All the items you previously saw in the overview sections or categories are displayed within the On-Page Analysis. This makes it easy to thoroughly review your website piece by piece while receiving all the necessary details for optimization.
Here you can try the tool yourself and gain your own Seobility experience here, for free.
Backlink Module: Analyze and Monitor Backlinks with Seobility
Seobility also offers a backlink module. In the dashboard of this module, you can view a wide range of information about your backlink profile.
You can not only see the total number of backlinks but also the ratio of DoFollow and NoFollow links, as well as the TLD distribution including the number of links for each domain extension.
At the bottom, you can immediately see which URLs are linking to your pages, the rating of the referring links, and the type of link involved. By clicking on the source URL, you can access additional information about that referring page.
If you wish, you can also export the backlink list. In the chart diagram under “Show Competitors,” you can display your defined competitors and get an overview of how their backlink profiles are developing over time.
You can also define or adjust your competitors directly in this section.
When you click on the target URL, you will receive a detailed analysis of that specific page, including all backlinks pointing to it, a metadata analysis, ranking information, and additional on-page factors.
One particularly useful feature can be found at the bottom: the link building opportunity analysis. This provides suggestions on how you might acquire new backlinks.
Depending on the category you select, you will receive an overview of various sources along with relevant keywords that you can use to build backlinks for your website. This makes it easier to discover backlink opportunities and improve your rankings for targeted keywords.
If you want to see which backlinks you have gained or lost, you can view them under “New Links” or “Lost Links.”
Your most frequently used anchor texts can be found under “Anchors.” And if you want to identify broken links on your website, check the “Broken Links” section.
Ideally, there should be no broken links on your own website, especially when they are internal links.
You should therefore review these and fix any broken links as soon as possible. Seobility obtains backlink data from Ahrefs, which complements its own features and analysis tools.
The suggestions for acquiring new backlinks are particularly helpful, especially if you are new to SEO or currently lack ideas for link building.
You can also add backlinks to your monitoring list. If a referring page disappears or the link is removed, you will be able to react quickly.

Seobility Review & Test: Final Thoughts on the Affordable SEO Tool
Let’s come to the conclusion of this Seobility review and test of this affordable SEO tool. One thing upfront: for the price, the tool is definitely impressive.
In my opinion, it is one of the best SEO tools available in the German-speaking market, offering an excellent price-performance ratio.
The tool offers several interesting features. In particular, the typo detection feature and the ability to identify duplicate text blocks on your website are very useful.
The on-page analysis, including the evaluation of internal linking and the identification of relevant and non-relevant subpages, is also very helpful.
One downside is that there are relatively few filtering options. While you can search for certain items and apply filters in some areas, these options are more limited compared to other SEO tools.
Sorting options are also not always available, which can sometimes make navigation a bit more difficult. However, the necessary data can be exported and processed externally if needed.
The speed of the tool is generally good. Occasionally, some queries or reports may take a little longer to load, but overall it remains within a reasonable range.
The usability of the tool is also very good in my opinion. The interface is easy to navigate, and you can click on various results and data points to access additional details.
The overall structure of the SEO tool is clear and well organized, which is definitely a positive aspect. The features, recommendations, ratings, analyses, and reports were convincing during the test. With these insights, you can improve your website in a way that benefits both users and Google.
You can test the tool yourself for up to 14 days and gain your own Seobility experience. If you like it, you can create an account and take advantage of a 10% lifetime discount.
